So here's something that happened recently...
I find myself at Mickey Finn's the other night with some friends, seeing this band called the Irish Kicks. Not bad, a little derivative, but alltogether decent. I'd see them again. Anyway, they're about halfway through the set when I notice my ex-girlfriend on the other side of the room. She's with her new boyfriend, which is really just as well, i guess. Now, it's been a while, but I was really kind of a jerk to this girl, and I still feel a little bad about it. I knew she was still pretty active in the scene, but I hadn't seen her for quite a while. So as I'm standing there looking over at her thinking about the whole situation, she looks over and our eyes meet. There's a moment of recognition, and she gives me a look of pure hatred. I shrugged and mouthed the word 'Sorry.' She responded by wrapping her arms around her new boyfriend and staring me down. Oh well. She was a pain anyway.
