Savage Worlds is an excellent rules system. As a long-time Dungeons and Dragons player looking to get away from the hundreds of skills, thousands of feats, and pages of paperwork... Savage Worlds is the system for me. While there are still skills and feat-like abilities, they are minimized. The dice system still allows for specialization (you roll a larger dice when you are better), and has much less paperwork as a Gamemaster. Savage Worlds is a refreshing change from the pages and pages (and hours) of preparation that goes into a great D&D campaign.
